Two sources for guide data

Channel number/Name:

I have plex setup and working, the first tuner which I setup was the HDHomeRun prime, so I selected “Cable” for the guide data. This worked fine.

Second tuner is ATSC, and when I set it up, it says “Antenna” but only uses the “Cable guide data”, also none of these channel are in the guide (Maybe they have new channel numbers, from cable guide ??)

How do I get both ATSC and Cable data in one guide ??

Thanks

You have to use your own XMLTV guide data instead of the built-in guide data engine to make that work correctly. It takes a little to set it up, but once I had mine set up, I have not had to mess with it at all. I use HDHomeRun Prime, HDHomeRun Connect Quatro, and Locast2Plex and have to roll my own XMLTVGuide.

I am using Zap2It as the XML TVGuide provider, but using mc2xml as the program that goes out and gets it. Works quite well by specifying which dat file to use, and you can daisy chain a few calls to mc2xml if you need more than one source for the guide (such as if you use locast2plex and HDHomeRun for cable).

You can find mc2xml here.

OK, enabled my SchedulesDirect account, used MC2XML to create a “xmltv.xml” file. Pointed Plex to use that XML Guide information.

All fine to that point.

WebOs on LG TV, Plex App now does not display anything under “Guide”, it is completely blank.

Localhost:32400 shows the new “Guide” data from both OTA and Cable from the xmltv.xml file properly, just not the LG WebOs Plex app

Help

OK, went back to the Guide data provided by Plex for the HDHomeRun Prime Cable tuner, then when adding the OTA tuners, I selected the analog channel numbers 02, 04, 06, 07, 10, 17, for the digital OTA channels 2.1, 4.1, 6.1, 7.1, 10.1 and 17.1

This appears to be working
