I have some recommendations:
- Move your media out of your home directory. You’re adding complexity where it’s not needed. It’s much easier to make a directory somewhere off the
/directory and then create the appropriate mount points underneath that.
- You retain ownership.
- You can set whatever permissions are required.
- None of it interferes with anything in your home directory.
- As long as the names make sense to you and don’t conflict with anything else, you can use what works.
