I have spent all evening going round in circles!! I have been using Plex media server in OMV docker for many years without problems. Recently after a server upgrade I am now trying to use Docker compose, it having replaced Portainer.
My server is up and running on my home network and accessible via safari. The problem is that I have no authorised devices. I deleted the existing server device as it wasn’t showing me any media at all.
The instructions on Plex are not helpful, Login, settings, authorised device, add a device.
There is no option to add a device. There is no information as to why this might be nor how to fix it.
How do I add my OMV server as an authorised device? Thank you

Settings - server name - General makes no mention of server. Actually I don’t see my email address either. My username is at the top of the left side column
I tried the UserCredentialsReset utility but no joy. It returns

Unrecognized host type. Cannot continue.
Under the General tab I did find ResetCustomisation where it says
Reset sidebar navigation and home screen layout to the default state. You’ll be redirected to the Setup screen, where you can choose a server (if you have access to more than one) and other media providers from which to build your navigation and home screen content.
This looked promising as it mentions choosing a server. However, on clicking the screen goes blank and I get a spinning icon for 30 mins then I killed the web page.
Another Update
Been doing more searching. Found a suggestion to delete Preferences.xml.
Did that went back to ipaddress:32400/web and got to the add server page.
Now I can see my server, and my media is visible. More testing to do but looks as if problem is solved.
