Unable to cast plex

I can no longer cast any content from my android phone. I can cast from my pc or laptop, but every time I try to cast with this app the plex screen comes up on the TV and says “something went wrong”. If I clear my cache and save data then uninstall the app and reinstall I can cast exactly once, but all subsequent attempts to cast fail in the same manner.
