Unable to modify Plex Media Server User

I am trying to turn a Raspberry Pi 4 into a Plex Media Server. I have been following instructions from the following URL: https://www.electromaker.io/tutorial/blog/how-to-install-plex-on-raspberry-pi, however when I input the command sudo nano /etc/default/plexmediaserver to modify the Plex Media Server User, I get only an empty screen like the file is non-existant. Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.

What defaults are you trying to change? If you’re running Raspbian (or Ubuntu for that matter) you override the service’s default parameters by creating an override.conf file for it in /etc/systemd/system/plexmediaserver.service.d/. The most straight-forward way to do this is to run:
sudo systemctl edit plexmediaserver.service

If, for example, you wanted to change it so that Plex Media Server ran as user pi, you’d add the following to this file (which will, by default, be empty):

[Service]
User=pi
Group=pi
UMask=0002

You can also change the location of PMS’ application data directory by adding the appropriate entry in this file.
