Unable to output 5.1 sound

Hi, I’m looking to out 5.1 audio from my plex movies running on firestick 4k, through my sonos beam and symfonisk combo. I know it runs 5.1 as I’ve checked it with netflix through the same sources, and I’ve ensured that the files have a 5.1 audio track selected.

Interestingly, if I try and play a movie with an ac3 5.1 track selected it tells me that there is an error, and will only run if I convert it to aa3 audio.

Use kodi as player instead, the plex team won’t solve this problem, just check how many results come count with search “5.1 audio no sound”

I get what you’re saying, but with the tech I have, getting kodi on the firestick isn’t the easiest.
