You should state the source of the packages you are using and where you are using them. The Plex.tv releases are not the same as the debian packages provided by @yakumo.
If you are using Plex.tv Ubuntu packages on Debian wheezy, or a derivative work like Openmediavault, then you are using the wrong packages.
From your list of things you did:
Questionable. There is no file or folder /etc/plexmediaserver on wheezy and none is required.
Unnecessary. @yakumo’s packages have the correct init.d script in them. They do not require any editing.
Unnecessary. /etc/systemd/system/plexmediaserver.service does not exist and is not used in wheezy. If you have this folder and file on wheezy or a derivative work, then it got there by installing an Ubuntu systemd style package.
mv /etc/init.d/plexmediaserver.dpkg.bak /etc/init.d/plexmediaserver i edit it mean init.d script
Ok because i always use this one never has to change anything.
on my server there is i don’t know why maybe it isn’t in use but this are the things that i do and it works for me because i ask @ 0.9.17.2 and didn’t get a solution
Again, I ask what is the source of the PMS packages you are using and exactly what OS or derivative work are you using it on.
The reason I ask this is that others are trying to help you and it’s entirely possible that both you and they are chasing things that are irrelevant and missing things that are.
Your posts about this problem probably belong in the “Plex Media Server for Debian” thread, not here.
These packages contain the proper /etc/init.d/plexmediaserver script and do not contain other irrelevant Ubuntu systemd files and folders.
Furthermore if you or your OS have placed the /plexmediaserver folder on a drive that lacks exec permission (like Openmediavault’s PMS plugin does) then transcoding will not work beginning with PMS version 0.9.17.2. Removing noexec for that drive in /etc/fstab and either unmounting and remounting the drive or rebooting the machine is the only thing you need to do to restore proper operation of the transcoders, assuming you are using the correct package.
WTF: SegFault on libaac_encoder.so. This is downloaded from the plex site and no way use any alternative!!!
