On Mac desktop, and also apple TV i am unable to sort movies by release date. Has anyone else had this problem? If so, what is the easiest fix? Below is a screen shot:
Update: everything else seems to be working and the files are properly organized (to the best of my knowledge). THIS BUGS ME THOUGH
Can you provide some additional details? What’s your PMS version? What specific clients and versions are you having issues with? Are you applying any additional filters?
I just tested with server version 1.18.4.2147 and had no issues sorting movies by release date using the following clients:
Plex desktop app version 1.5.0
Plex Media Player version 2.47
Plex Web version 4.12.3
Plex Web version 4.18.1
Apple TV Plex app version 2.12
As to a fix, you may want to try restoring defaults. This can be done in the web clients and the Plex desktop app under Settings -> (Plex Web) Debug -> Restore Defaults. Mind the warning below the button.
