An identical number in square brackets denotes those log lines which do belong together to one ātaskā.
Here is what I can discern (I am by no means an expert on this)
the [11152] is the general server task which then spawns another task numbered [11968]
the [11968] in your example is the task of refreshing a library or a movie
whereas the [17548] belongs to a communication between server and a client (I think) about updating playback progress in the database
It relates to the Plex process/function that created the entry.
specifically in your example
11968 is all the scanner process
11152 is the main process
17548 is web server process
I wonder: Would Plex consider an intensive immersive course in Plex-i-log so those of us that do not read or speak the language of the Plex logs could actually learn it?
I speak five languages to some extent. (although I never really learned to read in any of them except English) I guess you could make that six if you count Texan as different from English.
How hard could Plex-i-log be?
But it ācouldā be part of the inner mysteries of the Plex cult and we get to use the language only after we are admitted to the society and learn the secret handshake.
The Logs are a bit cryptic, I am sure they have tools for looking at them, i just wish theyād share
I would be very interested in seeing some log file reading 101 and 102 courses come along.
As well as an advanced users course, for how to do things with Plex and the many workarounds that the other platforms seem to have working so well.
