With the new releases on various platforms, Plex brought us rich home view with suggestions and such and made sections less accessible. While this does offer convenience of picking media, it also added inconvenience for multi server users.
Instead of showing all the available sections across multiple servers, one must switch between servers to access media in other servers. It wasn’t the most elegant solution to begin with as I would have multiple sections called “TV Shows” or “Movies”, but it did offer me one hub to access all my media.
I think it would be nice if there is an option to create unified home/section with all the media across multiple servers.
Obviously there are potential issues with duplicate media as they’ll have their own watched statues and metadata. I propose that duplicates are simply not shown. One can choose primary server and media from the primary would only be shown in case of duplicate.
Obviously my idea isn’t most polished one, but something similar to bring multi-sever experience smoother would be nice. Or simply having the option to use classic PHT UI (of listing all the sections, easily accessible) would be okay.
