Unwatched Shuffle and Cross Television Series Collections

For the shuffle feature, I would appreciate it if we could get an option to only shuffle unwatched items.

I would also like to be able to put individual episodes of television series into a single collection, that way I could watch all the Christmas episodes in one collection, or all the Halloween episodes, etc.

Filter the library view for unwatched items, then press Shuffle.

To expand a bit on “you can do that” …

Here’s the documentation but it doesn’t really explain building an episode collection: https://support.plex.tv/articles/201273953-collections/

There isn’t a Collections field on episodes or seasons only for show level.
Show level - Collections field:

Episode Level - no collections options:

So the way I tend to do it is via the overflow menu on an episode.

Either from the episode detail:

Or the episode card:

Once it’s created you can setup the collection however you like.

Here’s where you’d set “unwatched episodes” to shuffle:

Click “unwatched” and you can adjust sort or add other filters… even make it a smart collection or smart playlist to easily get back to it or put it on your Home Screen as it’s own row if you like it done that way (maybe set the sorting to random if you make it a collection).
