Upgrade from 1.26.2.5797 to 1.32.5.7349

Server Version#: 1.26.2.5797
Player Version#: 4.76.1
I have been neglectful in keeping up with my server upgrades. Can I jump right to 1.32.x or do I need to upgrade to certain releases before installing 1.32.x.

This Plex Server is installed on an Ubuntu 20.04.6 LTS server.

You can jump directly.

Give the server a little bit of extra time at first start to do all the database updates before you start hitting it.

Thank you for your response. My database is rather large, is there a way to track the upgrade process of the DB? Every time one these upgrades happens that touches the database it either doesn’t come back and I have to roll back. It maybe that I am not giving the process enough time, whatever the reason being able to monitor the progress would be very helpful.

The newer versions of PMS will show you, in Plex/web, a “503” XML message while the DB is doing it’s updates.

The server itself also won’t respond to the players until it’s complete (big improvement).

If you’re worried about it messing up, make a tar file of everything in the ‘Databases’ subdirectory and keep it for safe keeping before you upgrade.

I upgrade/downgrade all the time and, as long as I’m patient, there are no issues.
(My test server has 100,000 TV episodes in it plus all the movies and songs)
