Upgrading Plex on Ubuntu blows away .service file with custom Application Support Location

Server Version#: 1.18.2.2041

Every time I update the server from APT it rewrites my customized /lib/systemd/system/plexmediaserver.service file, which has a custom Env variable for PLEX_MEDIA_SERVER_APPLICATION_SUPPORT_DIR which is on a custom drive.

Is there a better way than changing this file to change where that folder lives? Maybe a symlink?

What’s the recommended way to fix this, so I can automatically update this package without worry?

Thanks!

Search the Linux How to section for override.conf.
