Plex Media Server Logs_2019-02-15_03-25-01.zip (3.9 MB)
To preface this, I can confirm that port forwarding is working.
Plex has been acting weird for the past few days. Windows says it’s uploading when there are no active connections and the console doesn’t show any indication of streaming to a device. However, when it does stream to a device, it doesn’t perform well. I have a video that has a bitrate of about 1.3Mb/s and it keeps having to buffer. I’m forced to chop it down to 0.7Mb/s. I’ve done SEVERAL speed tests on the server and it consistently has 10Mb/s upload. The receiving side has 50Mb/s+. I’ve tried it in Chrome on a laptop, and in the app on an iPad and on an iPhone. All of them have the same issue trying to get a decent stream.
Also, it sometimes says the stream is 3Mb/s+ on a video that can’t possibly saturate that much bandwidth. It even says the “original” is 1.3Mb/s, but selecting “original” then makes it say something like “auto 3.4Mb/s.”
Oh, and I’ve looked through all of the settings and there’s nothing limiting the streams to be that low and the CPU isn’t the issue. When I use original quality, it does direct play, and it doesn’t have any issues when it does have to encode.
