Plex not utilizing upload speed

I have plex running on a dedicated server I own, with 1gbps upload and download (it easily reached it) but for plex, it WILL not go above 1,800kbps… i am not transcending, i have the uploaf limit on unlimited, it is not my home connection (250 down)

I’ve tried disabling the firewall, no speed increase. It did go up to 5,000 kbps when I disabled secure on network settings… I’m so lost.

If I download two files on separate devices, both devices can reach 1,800kbps at the same time (thus the server is outputting a total of around 25mbits/second)

Specs:
Duel L5420’s
2 x 1tb HDD
1,000mbps up/down
Windows server 2012 VMWARE running on Xenserver 7

I am going crazy… if anyone can help I’ll love you forever. I posted before but no one had any ideas.

Try going back to server version 1.4.2x and see if speeds improve. Many people are finding a few speed issues with 1.4.3x releases.

I can’t find the old versions anywhere. Is there a special way to do this?

Did you tried the last Plex pass release, which was released today? Because they fixed this point:

(Streaming Brain) Rare deadlock estimating client bandwidth. (#6505)

Maybe related to your issue? Otherwise you can run your plex server behind a nginx reverse proxy (which i do): GitHub - toomuchio/plex-nginx-reverseproxy: Configuration to serve Plex Media Center https://plex.tv using Nginx https://nginx.com
