Currently, the PMP Announcement thread has started including direct links to recently released versions and that’s how the releases will go from here on out. I don’t expect that those links will go away – but you could easily create your own archive of links or actual installs.
Exactly this. For extra safety the occasional archive of PMS .exes also.
I agree. I loved PMP embedded back in the day. I have no issue with the “need” part but the “urgent” part I personally find to be just hyperbole.
Anyway I put my vote back on despite to longer using PMP.
But I dare say some idiot will come along again and make an at attack on a Plex Employee, dev or ninja and my sympathies will wane once more.
Thank you everyone who supported this call to action and helped the dev team at Plex to see the light!
Looks like we have been heard and HTPC support will be staying for the long term!
It takes brave and smart people to see when a bad decision has been made and corse correct accordingly so I want to say a big thank you to the people at plex for doing the right thing. This is great news for your users and your platform.
It also shows that when people ask loud enough, they can make a difference.
Absolutely has my vote!
voted! really, how much extra work is it to make the app support a 10’ UI and pass through audio? I have NUCs next to MY TVs - why on earth should i go buy another device with more limited functionality?
Please read a few posts up. There’s no reason to vote any more…
