Hey guys, I was booting RasPlex for the first time and got to the setup screen, but my USB keyboard wasn't working. I tried both a wired and wireless keyboard. I'm running the latest version 0.4.1. Any help is appreciated!

I have used a mini RF USB keyboard (and some others too) for all RPi OS images, both RasPlex variants and others, so I think that a keyboard that works with any one of them is also likely to work with most others.
This leads me to the big question here: Have any of your keyboards worked for other OS images on your RPi ?
Also, for the case of wireless keyboards, remember to check the batteries.
For my keyboards they do last a very long time, but eventually they'll need replacing/recharging.

Yes, and funny enough, the keyboard works at the command line when the pi first boots, it just doesn't do anything once I'm at the setup wizard.
I'm not sure i understand you correctly here.Yes, and funny enough, the keyboard works at the command line when the pi first boots,
Are you talking about a boot of RasPlex or of another OS image ?
A RasPlex boot does not have a command line for input.
It just 'echoes' some stuff from the boot process.
Are you saying that you can enter commands at that point ?
The wizard uses slightly different routines from the normal GUI menus.it just doesn't do anything once I'm at the setup wizard.
That's because most of it was 'inherited' from OpenELEC code, unlike the normal GUI menus from PHT.
But the keyboard usage should be identical (the settings for OpenELEC also control PHT).
For large parts of the setup wizard the only keys needed are DPad_Left, DPad_Right and Enter/Return.
So none of these work for you then ? And that makes it impossible to get past the wizard. Right ?
Have you tried using another keyboard ?
Or do you get the same result with all keyboards ?

Thanks for your help, I really appreciate it. I was talking about when booting RasPlex, at the very first screen where some lines appear, I can hit enter and type letters and they appear on screen. At the wizard, the arrows and return keys, as well as every other key, do nothing, making it impossible to complete the wizard. I've tried two keyboards, and I haven't tried any other boot images. Again, thank you for your help with this issue!
Hmm. Yes, you're right. The terminal driver in the early boot process does echo keyboard input, though it's not intended for any user input (and any such will be ignored). Thanks for your help, I really appreciate it. This is very strange, and I haven't seen any case like it.
Since your keyboard clearly does work with the drivers of the early boot it really should work in PHT as well.
I'm afraid I have no useful advice to offer, except to try some other keyboards.
All that I've tried work fine for me, so the odds look pretty good, even though you had bad luck with both of yours.
I don't know what keyboards you tried, but if both are of the same brand it might be a good idea to try some other brand.
Btw: When you try other keyboards, remember that you can't expect working results if you switch keyboards after the boot.
The system needs to identify the keyboard early in the boot process, in order to make proper use of it after booting.
So you'll need a separate restart for each keyboard to be tested.
