User groups, sharing links, managing tools to other platforms

Administrations of access within the plex tv server

One thing i will love that plex takes into further consideration is, that you can create user groups for each folder and multiple folders, so when you connect a user you can from the start add them to specific groups that give access to specific films and groups of films.

Plex tv is if I am not mistaken also being used for business today to show online classes and other things, and this will make it so much easier to administer, since some businesses don’t want their internal movies show on YouTube, twitch ect. And some companies use plex tv too show their new video they make and need it improve, which comes to the next part, sharing like Dropbox with a link ?, can that be done?, (created) because that will move it to a hole new level

2 last thing, when you buy plex pass between google and iPhone, you should have to pay 2 times because you buy a new phone, some how that should be a work around, a Plex Pass is a Plex Pass.

Last thing, a software add one.

When you have Patreon, x (old twitter) other places, where they don’t have so much room for videos, that as long they follow you or is a member of a group in Patreon or X or other apps like Facebook, they can see the movies, but if they stop doing it, they will be removed for the group you created for each service on your Plex server.

Plex tv can really hit a bigger market with private new creators, advertising business.

Actually that’s probably not correct. Plexā€˜ terms of use are catering to private users and forbid a commercial use.

Plex Pass isn’t limited to a single platform. I guess you’re referring to the one-time purchase you can do to unlock/activate the mobile apps (in case you don’t have a Plex Pass).

Not sure I fully understood what you’re aiming for…but this seems to be again about using Plex in a commercial setting which is specifically against their terms of use.

That’s actually to bad, it will open up a huge hole in the service that is provided today, some of the other services that is out there today will find plex tv so much easier to use, when they are doing online classes like yoga, exercise ect, since the only limiting is on your own plex server staying at home.

Also to bad, they will basically open up a new market and can earn a lot of money on it.

That’s two separate things…

  • Plex Pass
  • App activation — one-time purchase to remove the 1-minute limit in the mobile clients (tied to the App Store account and ecosystem)
