Without more details this sounds like a bad idea. Generally speaking you don’t want to prompt users of one website for their username/password for other websites.
If you are trying to do some sort of single sign on system or externally hosted /thing/ that just assesses said Plex server and all you really need is an auth token, then there might be something.

As far as I am aware Plex doesn't support an API or API Key yet. So sending a username/password is what we have to do still. If you send a POST request to the following URL using basic auth you will be signed in and given back an XML document with the token you can use to access other parts of the (unsupported) API.
