Using Alexa, resume audio playback after pause fails, restarts instead, if pause GT 60 seconds

I have some short self-created audio files stored in a Plex Library. They are less than 2 minutes long, not audiobooks.
I have configured Alexa to play these Plex files, and that works great.
If while playing one of these files, I ask Alexa to pause for less than 60 seconds and then resume, Alexa will continue where I left off, and all is good.
But (and I’ve tested this multiple times): if I ask Alexa to pause and then wait for more than 60 seconds before asking it to resume, Alexa will restart the audio file instead of resuming at the point I paused.
I do have the plex Library set to “store track progress”, but it doesn’t seem to work if the pause is greater than 60 seconds.

Is this a bug? Or am I using that feature the wrong way?
Are there any other settings or fixes that might help?
