Using Plex LiveTV without EPG

Hi

I would like to use LiveTV without EPG (as my satellite channels do not belong to only one single provider proposed during DVR setup).

Is there a way to ignore setup of EPG, and simply browse by channels to watch Live TV without any program guide ?

Thanks !

At present, NO.

Thanks @cayars for the quick answer ! Waiting patiently for future updates then
Would be awesome to be able to simply browse by channel names

Plex is working on adding something of a more traditional Grid View. This of course would make channel changing much easier when you know what channel you wish to watch.

I’m the same way, in that I watch a lot of CNN and Fox News with some MSNBC mixed in here and there. I always know the exact channel I wan to watch and they are all right next to each other. Would make for simple “up/down” commands on the remote (like normal TV) or hit the grid view for channel change.

I have no idea of the timeline but do know it’s been announced here in the forums so the end is in sight.

Thanks cayars, hope this is coming soon with no obligation to use EPG !

Any update on this? Seems like watching the same M3U through VLC works 100% of the time but Plex has trouble with EPG/XMLTV.

This feature request would really help with reliability…
