Hi!
I’m trying to learn Python and bought an online course that I’ve downloaded onto my computer.
I am having trouble finding a way to use Plex to view the videos in the sense that my options are not ideal:
-
Create a personal media library which allows me to view the media in it’s folders, sorted by it’s name with the titles being the titles of the media files = almost perfect for 1 issue:
ISSUE: I can’t just play them one after the other. I constantly have to select the next video and press play. I would much rather have it so that I open a folder, play the video where I left off and plex automatically playing the next video inside the folder I am watching my videos from. -
Create a TV-show library which allows me to view the media as a “TV Show” which is almost perfect for 1 issue:
ISSUE: I can not see the titles of the videos, even though I can see where I left off, I can no longer go back to rehears what I’ve seen, by looking at the title of the episode. -
Create a playlist that allows me to add all the videos from a folder. This is almost perfect because now I can see the titles, play them one after the other (automatically) but it’s almost perfect because:
ISSUE: I can’t see where I left off. On the desktop I can open the video and see if the thumbnail has a played/unplayed marking, but on the iPad i cannot.
So what I’m looking for is a way to combine the best from all worlds and have a viewing experience like this:
- I add my personal media
- I can play it chronologically; automatically
- I can see the titles
- I can see where I left off (Watched/Unwatched)
Does anyone know if this is possible somehow? I think my best option would be to use the “TV Show” library option and find a way to have Plex display the titles of each video, but I haven’t found a way to do that yet.
Help me, Plex Community,
you’re my only hope.
Beep beep boop!
