Is there any reason that a Roku device can’t be used as the tuner for Plex DVR? You can play content off a Roku on Windows, IOS and Android devices so surely a Roku could be used to deliver content to Plex DVR, or am I missing something?
Many live TV channels are available on the Roku so there is plenty of live content. I have no terrestrial reception so cannot connect a tuner to Plex so this seems the best option. I have no idea how Plex DVR drives the EPG or recording controls as I can’t test it but that seems to me the only minor hang-up.
The other option would be to have live TV channels available as plugins on Plex, similar to Roku channels, and link those to DVR but I suspect that would be many plugins whereas the Roku already has all those channels available.
