Using the "edition" feature for TV shows

I love the new feature for “editions”. I am trying to understand if it usable with TV series as well though.

I don’t see where it says anything about using it for TV, but it also doesn’t say you CAN’T use it for TV. The reason I ask is because there are some shows I have both the 1080 and 4K versions of a show. In my house I watch the 4K, but if my mom wants to watch that show she only has access to the 1080 version at best. They are in different libraries completely, but like movies, prior to the “edition” feature Plex would combine them into one item in “Continue Watching”.

Is it possible to use this feature for TV series and if so, how would I set it up? I have tried adding the tag in the folder name and the file name, but is either of those correct or even possible? Putting it in the folder name seems to make the series undetectable by Plex to begin with.

It’s only for movies right now. I’ll ask someone to adda note to that doc
