The issue does seem to be fixed somewhat, but I still have a few albums which are refusing to populate even with a manual metadata refresh. Where’s this metadata coming from? The remaining problem albums for me have MusicBrainz data but don’t seem to have complete Last.fm information.
Update: After some of the track artists cycled through different values, I ended up removing and re-adding a few of the albums which seems to have corrected the remaining issues.
As mentioned initially, it could just take a few more days to finish propagating.
If you’re using the correct (modern) Plex agent (called simply Plex Music), data comes from a wide range of sources (including but not limited to MusicBrainz, TiVo/AllMusic, Last.fm and more), and we aggregate it. Basically, it comes from us.
