Hi. I have opened an entry in GitHub out my problem, but I would like to know if anybody has a similar problem: I have experienced a lot of tearing in videos since (I think) updating to Sierra. I have tracked down the issue to hardware (VDA) decoding failing to initialise, but I can’t see why. Right after system reboot, it works fine, but after some time (including maybe sleep), it starts failing.
The only way to turn it on again is to reboot.
Does anybody have an idea of what’s happening (it could be a system bug)?
The problem is there with 1.6.2 and 1.7.1
