Version 1.29.1.6316-f4cdfea9c results in "Server settings are unavailable."

The fix was added to 1.30.1 beta. Due to the holidays and the uncertainty of the fix, it was not released publicly in case it cause additional problems. Hence it was put out as a beta. This fix has been confirmed during this beta period to fix the issue without any side effects. 1.30.1 is scheduled to go public this coming Monday.

I don’t understand how giving you a link info about the specific beta version the fix is in, is vague. I would have told you it would be out on Monday but life happens and things don’t always go as planned. If i told you Monday and it was not out on Monday I would just be called a liar.

We didn’t “just” release that . It has been release for almost a month. and not the beta version i said the fix is in.

Bit defensive, eh? “The Fix is In” alright. No, public download Version 1.30.0.6486 has NOT been released for a month. Roughly a week ago it was still 1.29.X, so…
And public download Version 1.30.0.6486 does NOT solve this issue.
And it’s still unclear whether you represent Plex, officially. My comment was clearly regarding wanting Plex to be officially more proactive (not just random responses from moderators regarding an issue that has been lingering for quite some time.
Kind of like Plex employee MovieFan.Plex responded informationally:

My general issue is certain moderators here implying that having a Plex Pass is a solution to this problem (if the beta even works). The suggestion there is that if I just purchase a Plex Pass (at $4.99/m) that I don’t want or need the problem will be “solved”. Again, until if and when Plex becomes a paid service, I will continue to use what has been an amazing application for FREE, hopefully without any lesser support than what is offered paid users when ISSUES occur.

Thank you for that info!

I never said it did. I never told you to get a Plex Pass. I said should be released to public next week. Not a month ago you somehow inferred from that.

Today:
Update available for Plex Media Server
You are currently running version 1.29.0.6244 on the server “bad dog (3)”. Version 1.30.1.6562 is now
available.

PLEX - WHEN will you publicly release Plex Media Server 1.30.1.6497, which some here claim solves this issue in Beta???

I’m growing weary of not being able to update my server - for 4 MONTHS now.
That’s a long time to not resolve or publicly address this problem.

.

6562 also includes the fix which is beta as of 5 days ago as outlined here. Plex Media Server - #549 by gbooker02.

Which went public later on that day

  • (macOS) Some endpoints could return errors on macOS versions older than 10.15 (#13946)
