Thought I'd cast my vote as well, if PMS is to support this architecture, I might buy a Synology DS-214 Play, since my Qnap TS-269Pro can't handle transcoding of HD streams.
+1!
+1 :)
Isn’t latest PMS supporting DS214 Play?

Yes, but not HW transcoding.....
so still +1 and liked the first post.
You’re right. I misunderstood the release notes. Damn I who almost ordered DS214 Play when I read it. I want a nas who can do transcoding at a fair price level.

+1 for me as well…
I’ve built many PCs from scrap and I’m just tired of it all. I have a Synology 1511 and I just don’t have anything bad to say about them. They just Git-R-Done…
If a Synology DS214play will git-r-done in terms of transcoding to mobile devices, I’d buy one just for that!
Klips
P.S. On a side note, I have a iMac, over a half a dozen PCs/Laptops, (2) PS3s, Apple TV, Smart TV, and (3) Roku boxes. All of these will play 1080p files from my DS1511 without transcoding. But, I find that a good formatted files being served off of a Synology NAS and played off of a Roku box the easiest, low cost, and very little effort to maintain.
+1 from me also
I bought the DS214play in carefree trust that the Plex transcoding support will be added eventually.
(edit: Lifetime member, to whom it may concern...)
Everyone needs to make sure they "like" the first post and don't just post a "+1" reply. Just reminding folks.

I clarified the meaning of "full support for Intel Evansport" in the first post ;)
I would also like to see Evansport supported by Plex. Thanks in advance!
