It’s been raised a couple of times in the past and maybe a niche feature but it would be cool to have a video backdrop for movies or shows. A backdrop.mkv or similar in the folder as a local extra to be played when you view the movie details.
Like many who own physical copies of the movies, you’ll find a lot of DVD/HD-DVD/BluRay will have a nice trailer-esque or overture video running, while you’re browsing the menu. It would be quite nice to see that playing in the background while starting the movie.
A request for the same feature exists already, and it has more votes.
Therefore this one is closed, to prevent spreading the votes across several threads, even though they vote for the same (or at least very similar thing).
