Video playback quality

Hi,
I have noticed that playing back a movie on the iPad using the Plex app the video quality is by far less good than if I connect to the directory where the movie is stored and I use a movie player to play it.
Why Plex is downgrading the movie resolution?

What are your playback Quality settings?

If you turn off “Use Recommended Settings”, you can then manually select a quality and see which you like best.

Found!

I put it to maximum (I am streaming videos in my LAN).

Seems better, before was set to 2 Mbps 720. I was mislead by the option description that said Internet Streaming so I thought that the speed was the limit when streaming outside the LAN (remote connection).

In the upper right corner, tab the 3 horizontal bars (where you sign in.

You’ll see:

Sync
Friends
Settings

Tap Settings and the Settings popup will appear.
