Since plex can match videos to existing movies and pull in related posters / meta / etc. it seems like there could be a way to host generated video thumbnails somewhere so they don’t have to be generated at the user level.
i realize that would require a frame-level match to the source to be accurate but even if a bit out of sync it would be a useful option for under-powered servers.
