Videos not playing on web player (windows)

I have tried Chrome and Edge, neither are playing the videos. i can click on an episode of a tv show or a movie and the screen loads but shows it as unavailable or if it tries to play it just sits on a blank screen buffering. but i can watch everything just fine on my phone so its not an issue from where i am streaming the videos from but i havent been able to figure out a way to fix whatever is going on with the browser player.

if anyone has any suggestions or ideas on what might be going on i would appreciate the assist.

What is the video format? Is Plex Media Server trying to transcode it?

The video formats change from one show to the next, the only videos i can even try to play is Survivor and i assume its because its on my continue watching list.

As for transcoding i am not sure how to check for something like that.
