I looked and did not see this actual topic. Are there any plans on having the ability to see the video as you fast forward. This way you can see where you are in the video as you move forward or backward within the movie or TV show.
Are you referring to the thumbnail that shows on the timeline?

Not so much a thumbnail as the entire video. For example while watching a HBO show on the HBO app if I fast forward i see the video move forward. I can see where i am in the show. it is not a thumbnail it is the entire video moves forward or backwards on the screen I can actually see it moving. In real time.

So you are saying you would like to see the video progress in the main viewing area (Box A) instead of the thumbnail preview (Box B)?

Yes exactly. not a stored file, but a real time view of the video. like a transcode on the fly…
@medic6578 The feature you’re requesting that video previews (whether thumbnail or full sized image) be transcoded on the fly would be a great feature to have. Although, you would have to have a powerful server to run it especially with multiple streams going.
I just ran the calculations for my TV & Movie libraries and if I were to turn on thumbnail previews my database would increase somewhere between
This is the reason why I haven’t turn on video thumbnails even though my family would love to have them.
