With Vizio’s TVs getting better and better, and with their prices going down more and more (http://gizmodo.com/5948177/vizios-new-60+inch-flagship-hdtv-anchors-your-living-room-for-just-1000), would love to see support for this.
Oh, come on, don’t tell me that now that I sprung for a Panasonic!
Panny’s are great, but $1000 for that TV? c’mon, that’s awesome.
I’m going to be buying a new TV on Black Friday, and have narrowed it down to vizio and panasonic. would be great to have native plex apps on both, but my only problem with this TV is why no 240hz?!
It's worth mentioning, that while I quite like Vizio... there is an inherent issue with Vizio TVs. They don't deal with 24 frame content properly, so if you want accurate film frame viewing, I wouldn't recommend a Vizio unless you can survive without it.
Edit- Decided to check out some reviews of the TV, and it turns out, this appears to be Vizio's first TV that DOES handle 24 properly. So if you get this big discount bad boy... enjoy.
I think VIZIO comes with Google TV http://store.vizio.com/costar.html
That's the costar, not the TV itself.
TV does not come with Google TV fyi, if you goto www.googletv.com/get it shows a list of products, Co-Star is listed TV is not
Vizio TVs come with Yahoo Connected TV apps. They are also supported by many Samsung, Sony, and Toshiba TVs. Would be awesome to have an app so I don’t have to have so many boxes littering my home theatre.
I would like to see this as well. Vizio makes some of the smallest wifi connected TV’s, son this would be great for my bed room sets.
I have a 47" Vizio and I have started to look at the code for the media player yahoo widget. I hope to get something done but it might take a while. I can tell you that if I do get something it wont be pretty like PMC. It would just parse the key values to clickable links so you could navigate. I'm doing this on top of my full time job and school so it wont be fast but if there are any good javascript devs out there you should take a look.
Just a thought if samsung tvs support yahoo internet apps is the plex for samsung app built on that or is it something else? Cause if someone could get me the code for the samsung app I could get going a lot faster.
