Vizio TV not working with plex

Hello, I have a Vizio Tv that when starting the PLEX gives me the “plex is unable to start due to an error.” unplugged the tv, even factory defaulted it. I’m running the latest server software on a QNAP and have a number of other devices that work just fine. i’ve read countless number of threads regarding Vizio tv app problems. need some help please.

TV = D40-D1
version = v2.1.18.0000
TV network is hardwired with good connectivity across my LAN and to the WAN
Plex app version = 1.0.1
Plex QNAP server version = 1.19.3.2852

Huh. I don’t even remember that version. The last released was 3.x. Try uninstalling and re-installing the app.

Well hours on the phone with Vizio I was finally sent past the call screening mindless drones in Tier 1. The TV is no longer software supported. Not super happy about a 4 year old TV already being MD like that. Last Vizio for me.

I was [not] talking about updating the firmware for the TV, just the Plex app.
