First of all, I’m female. No need to get testy… Had you read my post, you would have seen I suggested emailing their billing team. I agree emailing the CEO is a good alternative.

Honestly at this point I’ve lost trust in plex not randomly break/remove stuff anyway, permanently stopping server/app updates seems like the most sensible option

Hey, I’m the original poster of this thread, and I made those comments trying to help guide people toward an effective way to make sure this gets heard by the Dev team. Some of the commenters did think the Plex Pass was required for this feature. I noticed that your original comment didn’t mention that you bought it in support of the company due to the feature, so I just wanted to clarify that for others. I decided to support Plex with a Lifetime pass mainly due to my love for this feature. I use it weekly and cannot express how angry I am that plex is removing such an integral and loved feature.
I have used the new Plex app through TestFlight and it is terrible. They basically took all the good things about the old app and made them worse. Why fix something that isn’t broke?
If Plex doesn’t reverse course on this decision, I will be moving to a different service.

I am one of the many people that use Watch Together multiple times a week and it is one of, if not the main reason I use it. It should not be taken away and the new app should at least be delayed until this feature has been incorporated as well.
In any other case I’d have to find an alternative.

This feature is the reason pretty much all of my friends use Plex. It’s the reason I bought Plex Pass to support what they were doing.
I wish my pass wasn’t lifetime so I could cancel to send a message. The moment another platform has a working stable watch together system (Jellyfin’s one is horribly buggy) I’ll be jumping ship.

I use this feature everyday with my partner and it is the reason I decided to buy plex plass last year in order to support the team. Now I feel scammed.

I’m just going to add my name to the list of Plex Pass holders who use Watch Together all the time and it will be a big loss for my friends and I whose watch together on our Apple TVs. There’s no way to use the web client on Apple TV.
This is a major step backward for Plex. Maybe they feel like they’ve got us trapped because we’ve been using their product for years.
Plex: We’ve supported you all this time. Please support us.

Watch Together is a must-have feature for me, I appreciate that a new app is being developed but you should NEVER remove functionality in your new app release. None of my friends use the web app.

Seriously upset at the Plex dev team for dropping this feature. I paid for a lifetime membership so I could own my content and play it locally or with friends.
Now what: I get less features all for a flashy new frontend? No. Roll it back. I’m serious.
A frontend / app experience shouldn’t degrade the existing feature set. I’m all for redesigns and new UX, but not at the cost of cutting corners and removing value from a product.
