The shows watched were the apprentice, man with plan, and Kevin can wait. None were marked watched on server or removed from iPad.
The logs were sent when got home and after I tried to sync around 2130-2200 or so

Thanks for the logs. This may be a new issue. Unfortunately with verbose logging on the server the logs cycled round very quickly.
Could you do a controlled test. Let disable verbose logging on Plex Media Server - leaving just Debug Logging enabled. and on Plex for iOS untick verbose in Debug Settings.
Then restart the server to get fresh logs created. Do a sync of a show that you expect to exhibit the problem after.
On completion of the sync, go offline and watch the whole show
Then go online
Wait 5 minutes
check status and if wrong get the diagnostics from both sides - also any screenshots eg items not deleted or watched status
Hopefully the zipped logs will cover the whole sequence. if possible please say when went offline ;/ online
Thanks
last sync try just now @ 18:25 or so
shows involved The grand Tour, Hells Kitchen, Bones, The MIck, Men Seeking Women (synced from another server)

I was hoping you would do a controlled test and with specific information as requested rather than a repeat of what we had before - just with different media files
What I was aiming for to get a test where you say
I synced this item xxxxx during this period xxx to xxx
It completed the sync at xxx
I then went offline on the device (device name xxxx) at this time xxxxx
I watched the whole show whilst offline and completed that at time xxxx
I then went online - waited 5 minutes and checked watched status and it was wrong and I checked deletion and it was wrong
I then took these screenshots to show that
And collected the server and ios logs which I am attaching
Otherwise to look at thousands of lines of logs when it is not clear what happened when and guessing
I cannot find references to any of the named media films/shows you mentioned - may be they are not referenced by name and that would be why times would be important
I will continue to look at the logs tomorrow - if you can help by doing a controlled test as requested that would be much appreciated
Deleted log files from computer, so fresh.
Show tested Big Bang Theory, device âiPadâ
4:39 Marked show as unwatched on Server
4:43 synced to âiPadâ
4:48 was in airplane mode marked show as watched
4:50 synced, nothing happened on server still unwatched and still on iPad
Times are within a minute

Thanks for the detailed information for the timing
I do see the iOS app letting the server know at 4:51:10 that the item was watched and this was logged

This was from the iPad (IP: 192.168.1.2)
And I can see earlier it was marked as unwatched through Safari on plex web at 16:38:49
The item that was marked unwatched and then watched at 16:51:10 was
/Volumes/Media/TV Shows/The Big Bang Theory/Season 10/The Big Bang Theory - 10x13 - The Romance Recalibration.mkv
I take it this was the only episode in the sink list for this TV Show ?
So are you saying that at 16:52 and later, the episode was not marked as watched when viewed on Plex Web ?
Did you refresh the plex web client screen after 16:51:10 - the time when Plex Media Server would have updated its database with the watched state. The server was shutdown at 16:52:28 - so only had a short window between 16:51:10 and 16:52:28 for the web app page to be refreshed and checked for watched status. Looking at all the requests coming to the server after 16:51:10 the closest I see to the web client asking for list of items from the server are requests for Recently Added items - how were you checking the watched state change? and was it on the web client that you set the unwatched state earlier on ? 192.168.1.41 or was it on a plex web session on the server itself. Earlier on at 16:38:42 you displayed the TV Show and changed state to Unwatched through 192.168.1.41. After it being marked as watched by the server in the database at 16:51:10, there were requests from a browser on the server itself (192.168.1.100) for the recently added items and then from 192.168.1.41 at 16:52:17 a request for a play queue. There were no requests for the TV Show - so not really sure how the watched status was being checked
With regards to the deletion, I do not see evidence of the Plex for iOS app deleting the local copy of the episode after it was marked as watched. I will refer this to the development teams to look into.
What was the beta version for the last set of logs provided for the 30th January test?
I noticed the iOS app was repeatedly notifying the server of the timeline (now playing type info) about another media item - one that was deleted on 26th January after 21:06. These logs and earlier logs do not go back to that time. Was there an old obsolete item on the iPad Now Playing screen? I donât believe it is related to the issue - but curious
I marked the show unwatched so it would sync over (was previously watched), I selected it for its short length. The watched shows still show as unwatched on my ATV as well after syncing as well as plex web. There could have been other old obsolete items on the iPad but I do not remember.

All I was saying is that in the Plex Media Server logs provided and up to the time when you shut the server down at 16:52:28, there was no evidence of any client app asking the server what the watched status was for that episode after it was set to watched at 16:51:10 and without asking the server. as far as I know, there is no way for ATV or Plex Web or any app to know what the state was
We may need to get xml for the actual TV show episode after such a sequence. I am assuming that we are referring to the Watched state for the specific episode
For example if the identifier of the TV Show Season 10 Episode 13 was 715530 as what was seen from the logs, then the xml can be seen in a browser by sending this request
http://192.168.1.100:32400/library/metadata/715530?X-Plex-Token=xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx
and the xxxxxxxxxxxxx is your token to authenticate and allow access
See https://support.plex.tv/hc/en-us/articles/204059436-Finding-an-authentication-token-X-Plex-Token
I am doing another using Top Chef last chance kitchen, it is only 15min and I am watching it in full on iPad not manually marking watched. What do you want me to do after I sync the iPad after watching?

Thank you. This has been referred to the development team
Plex for iOS 4.7 was released today. There is one sync fix but that issue only arises when you run out space on the iOS device
FIXED:
Nothing on any sync issues, and of course it still does not work. I really so not get what is going on, you ask for testers, we test, report bugs, submit logs, and nothing. What is the point?

It has been reported and it is on the list of problems to be investigated. It is active and being looked into
Thanks for your help with the logs
Donât see any sync issues being addressed.

YAY!
It has been a year, had a new server setup, new iPhone and iPad to replace old units and off line syncing still does not work! Great job Plex Team!
Happy Anniversary!
So just reinstalled the OS on my iPad and figured I would give the beta another go, nope same old â â â â . Still watched shows not being marked on the server watch when viewed off line.
But hey! I have news!

So a year later and is it still being looked into? What a joke that problems reported a YEAR ago are still not fixed. But hey!! We HAVE NEWS! I can watch that since I can not get things to sync to my devices.

I am finding out
But can you please be precise in what the issue is
Can not get things to sync to my devices is very different from the watched status not being updated
What is the actual problem - exactly?
Whats the matter donât like being called out on your BS?
