Makes it pointless to even mark things then, and impossible to unmark them if you accidentally mark them.
While plex seems nice as a tubi pluto service. Definitely not practical as a tracker type thing.
If you do add it would be nice if it would also remember the date time you mark something. To be able to sort it.
I had to start keeping lists on my phone notes what shows im in the middle of since while NextEpisode is good for marking things and has ways to view what was watched theres no good way to remember what your in the middle of. Such as sorting the watchlist for tv shows by recent activity instead of release date.
Though of course related in usage a watchlist is different than marking something as watched. A watchlist is a list of things I intend to watch. not a watch history.
Someone may add something to watchlist that they have already seen because they want to remember to watch it again on the weekend or similar. One may watch something because was randomly looking through library and just watched it and it never appears on watchlist.
and a watch history could include multiple watches of the same thing regardless of how it is currently marked.
Sounds like what you want the opposite of the unplayed filter so it just shows things that are marked as played
You can do this in the web app advanced filter where Unplayed = False but not in other clients
Its fine if its kinda hidden, the Netflix watch history is kinda hidden too but its nice that it exists vs hulu Disney+ and many others which is why i started using next episode.
When in a library like your movie library on the top left click on the word All which is the filter menu. On the bottom of that menu choose Advanced Filters
