Watchlist Posters Need to be the Same as the Ones I Choose When Organizing My Libraries

This is my first month with Plex, so please forgive me if I am missing something in making this post.

I’ve noticed that the artwork that displays when I go to my Watchlist differs from the artwork I have painstakingly customized throughout my Server/Library of content. Unfortunately, this makes the Watchlist feature less desirable and less convenient for me. I am aware that it may be an OCD issue with me as a collector, but I would definitely appreciate at least having an option to force my custom artwork to show everywhere on Plex for my account and server users. I really enjoy Plex so far, but I would love it if y’all could do something about this.

We all know that movie sets, for example, are sometimes re-released (Star Wars is a great example) with new, matching artwork for each item in the set. Some items don’t, initially, look like they belong together. That means that we, the users, have to customize the art if we prefer a matching set kind of look. I’m saying that, among other reasons, this is one of the best situations where the artwork differing on Plex from what we users have chosen if very frustrating.

Thank you for your time, work, and hearing me out!

There’s already an existing suggestion discussing an option to display posters from your own / shared libraries in Discover (which includes the watchlist feature). I suggest you comment/vote in that thread in order to help us avoid distracting or cannibalizing votes.

Unless I’m missing some unique aspect of your suggestion I’ll close this thread as a duplicate.

I don’t think this post fully expresses or explains my viewpoint, but if you’re a moderator/something like that, then I respect your decision.

Thank you for explaining, I understand that reasoning. I didn’t realize that would create a privacy/security issue on the user’s end.
