I am writing to express my strong disappointment and frustration regarding the recent changes to the Watchlist feature.
Removing the global Watchlist—which previously allowed users to track and keep a unified list of any movie or TV show across all platforms—and restricting it only to local server content or Plex’s own media library completely ruins one of the absolute best features of your platform.
The Universal Watchlist was the primary reason many of us relied on Plex daily as our central media hub. Stripping away this functionality and limiting it to a local-only scope makes the feature practically useless for anyone who tracks upcoming releases or movies outside their immediate local storage.
This change feels like a massive step backward for user experience. I strongly urge your product team to reconsider this decision and restore the full, universal Watchlist capability.

Watchlist for all movies not work only for local stored movies and tv shows and aslo a online plex shows, a regular all movies data base is not there any more, what is the point of that?

“Add to Watchlist” is available as it ever was.
You know what i asked not for my local movie base that i own i need to see other moviea like i used to and put in watchlist to get it later and also my family members to send me what will they waching maybe, but no there is no wachlist like before?

You dont anderstand me i know that i have my watch list but that watch list only shows me tv shows my list of movies and rent what about all movie base nor mine but the base of all movies like overseer, imdb are we on the same man?
Did you perhaps “Switch User” to one of your Plex Home members?
No i am having a latest version server and the app on the phone
And that app can switch between all users in your Plex home.
You don’t have the “more ways to watch” checkbox in that screenshot, do you have the Discover Source options fully disabled in your “Online Media Services” settings?
If that option is checked, and you search for something not on your server, you can hit the three dots next to it and add it to your watchlist as shown in the image below. It’s a Wonderful Life is not on my server.
You can also just go to watch.plex.tv as noted earlier and add content to your watchlist.
