My cloud home set up and working well with iPhone and iPad lots of home content which we now want to see on tv. Have created plex folder and put content in it on iPhone. We have installed plex app on tv and that has my cloud home on side bar but the folders don’t match those on mobile app and say no content. Sorry know very little about the technology and clearly from this forum it’s complicated. Have read loads of wd guides that don’t cover this . Hoping for a miracle.
What kind of smart TV are we talking about and what version of Plex Media Server do you have installed on your WD My Cloud Home?

Thank you! So dad ( age 84) has sent me screen photos as I’m trying to sort it remotely for him. The TV is Panasonic 40HX800 series. Hopefully these pic give other info you need
It could be that TV is simply too old.
There’s recently been a whole bunch of devices which no longer work because the encryption certificates on those devices aren’t valid any more (and the tv itself getting no more updates from their vendors).
That’s unless this is actually an Android TV model.

I saw somewhere you could allow unstable connections ? Is that worth ticking? All he wants to do is watch his own videos and photo on the tv like he used to with MyCloud. Perhaps we should send this new version ‘home’ back ? Is there anything else that would work instead? Thank you for your time
Just to let you know that somehow we’ve got plex working on the tv 
. I think we’d managed to change the folder names so they weren’t recognised also not realising that you need to scan files to make things appear. So now it all looks simple and he will have many happy hours of watching his home made movies on his tv thank you
