The Server Version#:1.40.5.8854 (but that is irrelevant, it has done this on several versions of the PMS). It started doing it a couple of months ago. I thought maybe my drive was going bad so I purchased a new one and it’s still doing the same thing. I have a PR2100 and every couple of days Plex will crash. Doesn’t matter what version of PMS I am on. I’ve tried older ones and newer versions and the issue still exists. I notice when it crashes my PR2100 hard drives are kind of going crazy like there is a bunch of activity going on. If I SSH into my NAS with putty and look at activity Plex is going crazy. It’s hard to even access the web GUI for the pr2100 during this time. If I go to the PR2100 apps interface from the web GUI when it eventually lets me get to it and turn off plex, the hard drives go back to normal and everything is responsive again. Then I can just simply turn the Plex app back on and all is well in the world. Is there someone that can point me in the right direction on what to do? Even if it’s somehow automating the Stop Start process for plex thru command line in a cron file or something? Or even if there was somehow to schedule the PR2100 itself to reboot.
bump… i saw somewhere that said to ddelete some kind of .conf file and let it rebuild but not sure where I saw that on a different post… anyone have any suggestions for me?
Upload your logs, I’m curious what “going crazy” means. MyCloud isn’t a very fast machine for a Plex server so I’m assuming it’s pegging your CPU to 100% while analyzing some media. The issue will keep coming back because Plex will keep trying to scan the media that it’s getting stuck on. You can disable intro detection and all the extra stuff to see if that relieves your problem.
