WDTV Live 1st Gen as client?

I am looking through old hardware I have available for media clients and I found two of these.



Would it be possible to use them as a Plex client assuming this sort of setup?



WDTV Live <- public internet -> Plex Media Server

I looked into this to see if it was possible. It doesn’t appear to support what Plex needs to play over WAN. The problem being DNLA’s reliance on LAN to function properly.



I looked into a DNLA relay, but as I don’t have a computer at the other location it wouldn’t be possible.
