Web Streaming with pms rest api. need a little help.

Since there is a rest api is there documentation on how to use the rest api to transcode video with pms?



i would love to be able to transcode stuff down then stream it to flowplayer (i’m assuming it’s h264 pms transcodes to) or some other flash player that supports h264.



so far i’ve been able to play with controlling plex, getting information, downloading the untranscoded file. i’ve attempted get a transcoded file with “http://localhost:32400/video/:/transcode” but the best i can seem to do is to crash the pms.



if anybody could fill me in i would appreciate it… otherwise i’ll keep looking around in wireshark.

You need a developer API key in order to be able to use the transcoding features in PMS.
