just a general question but why isnt the web ui the same as plex.tv from the self hosted version? the plex.tv looks miles better?
The new l&f was introduced with Plex Web 4.60; The bundled version of Plex Web in the latest server releases is still using version 4.59.
The developers can upgrade the hosted version in their own time. To update the bundled version they need to feed the updates into the PMS release management… this can take some time for additional testing or to ensure it’s not colliding with other features.
TL;DR: the bundled version is always a bit behind
