I’m currently testing out webhooks and am not seeing any events firing. I’ve set up a requestbin account and have tried playing/pausing a few titles in my library and am not seeing any incoming requests. I’m currently running Version 1.18.7.2457 on Mac OSX
After some testing, it seems like webhooks only work for libraries that are non local. I’ve tried Plex’s movies and TV shows as well as a remote library a friend has shared with me. Those all seem to work fine, but when I try titles from my own library no requests come in.
that’s strange, and I don’t know why it isn’t working… I personally don’t use Plex Webhooks, I set those up through Tautulli because there’s more options and you can accomplish more.

That was it! Although why is there a second webhook setting buried in a different submenu?
One is a per-user-account setting.
The other is a server setting.
i.e. you can enable webhooks in your account, but you can disable them for a certain server.
For a test server for instance, or because maybe one server admin doesn’t want any info (like movie titles etc.) from his server “leaking” out via his shared user’s webhook settings.
