WebP Support In The Works?

Noticing increased usage of WebP on the web, and I recently received a folder full of WebP images that I would rather not convert to PNG or JPG for use in my image library.

Does anyone know if support is being considered for this image format?

Well nearly a year later and not even a simple “it’s not being considered” answer. Glad I am paying the extra $$ for access to PlexPass support forums! lol
