Server Version#:1.19.1.2589
Player Version#:
The update to 1.19.1.2589 for Windows 10 that was pushed down had Plex DLNA Server.exe that Webroot identified as a W32.trojan and it was blocked and quarantined. Regardless of that .exe being quarantined by Webroot, I don’t seem to be having an issue accessing the server, but I thought I should let you know of this issue. Either it really was a trojan or there is an issue where the antivirus thinks it is. Either way this has never happened before to me with Plex , and I’ve been using Plex and an antivirus for a number of years.
Submit the file to https://www.virustotal.com
You can see how many different anti virus engines agree on it being a real virus. I assume it is a “false positive”.
Never seen that site before. Did as suggested and I’d say you’re probably correct. Out of something like 78 ant virus engines Webroot was the only positive. Thanks for the info.
It probably is a false positive - are you able to get to the Quarantined file ? If you can, please zip and send me the zip
Please see this web page https://answers.webroot.com/Webroot/ukp.aspx?pid=12&vw=1&solutionid=2741 for instructions on how to submit the file for review. You can do that within the Webroot application
I also have the same issue.
I submitted the .exe file to webroot through the website listed. Thanks.
I was unable to get to the quarantined file, but I could take it out of qaurantine. I can always put it back if it comes to that. I sent you the file as a .rar. I don’t have a way to zip it at the moment.
This has now been resolved and the false positive has now been rectified
That was quick. Thanks for the update.
