Do you all think that the webserver part of Osxbmc needs a revamp? My main motivation is to have more functionality and cleaner interface. What sparked my thought was, the ability to use my iphone, login to the osxbmc and use it as a better remote to control the media. Like DVD Menu, Chapter Selection, Subtitle enabling, etc… Any thoughts / suggestions on this ?
Yes, I think we need to do:
a) A UI Revamp for the over all program
and then
B) a Webserver UI revamp to match it. Allow for optimization for iPhone, other cool stuff also.
Don’t forget other users
I have just tested my Nokia N95 8Gb to control OSXBMC and it looks great besides the screens being too big to fit the Nokia screen.

Any clues to what this means?
Making the entire interface more mac like, giving it a more integrated feel with the OS and other applications around it, etc.
Would you guys ever consider going to a Mac-like preferences dialog in addition to the skin-specific prefs menu? Perhaps Interface Builder generated?
Not sure, I’ve always thought a preference pane style configuration would be pretty cool, rip out all the settings and put them in a prefpane that you work with. Although that’s just me and I’m not a developer
I’ve been using http://tlrobinson.net/projects/xbmciphone/ with my Xbox. It’s a good enough start for a remote front end to the HTTP API.
This works for Plex as well. Not very stable, but it works..
