It struck me recently, after one of my external drives died and I lost a lot of media files, that I really need to keep a folder-by-folder list of what I have and where. This seemed like such an obvious notion that I began to search for some small app for Windows that will do this automatically, but so far I have met with no luck. Has anyone else attempted this, and if so, with what? I’m hoping it’s something that can be automated, as entering each file name manually would soon become a dreary chore. Many thanks in advance.

While the files are still indexed in Plex, you can export a full list of all paths, then e.g. filter by the drive you lost.
Are they still updating WebTools? I thought it had gone extinct since Plex dumped plug-ins.
It’s a separate app now.
Also… there’s still a handful of plugins out there working – namely some 3rd party agents. IIRC the WebTools plug-in version was also still working but the team prepared for the future
